NBA Superstar and Cleveland Cavaliers player LeBron James just signed a lifetime contract with shoe brand giant Nike, reports confirm. James, who he is in the height of his career, also reveals that he might possibly have his own line in partnership with Nike.

The famous 30-year-old basketball player confirms that he has signed a new contract with Nike that will last even after his retirement, STL Today reports. "I'm [a] very humble, man," James said on Monday after practice with the Cavaliers, CBC quotes.

Apparently, James had been with Nike since high school for a $90 million contract even before graduating, STL Today said. "It's been an unbelievable time for myself and my family, and I'm just grateful that Nike and Phil Knight, and everyone over there just believed in a skinny 18-year-old kid from Akron, Ohio, and I'm happy to be a part of such a great company," he said as quoted by CBC.

Meanwhile, Nike also confirms that the lifetime partnership has just been successfully signed by the brand and James. "We can confirm that we have agreed to a lifetime relationship with LeBron that provides significant value to our business, brand and shareholders," Nike said in a statement as quoted by the publication.

Furthermore, the partnership is seen to be one that will possibly give rise to James' own shoe line for the brand. "We have already built a strong LeBron business over the past 12 years, and we see the potential for this to continue to grow throughout his playing career and beyond," the statement continued.

James even reveals that he isn't closing his doors to the possibility of making his own line; however, it will always be in partnership with Nike. "We'll see when we get to that point," James said as quoted by the publication.

"If it makes sense for both parties, then we'll do it. If not, then we won't. We've done a great job of building my brand to this point. We want to just continue it. If it makes sense for us to have a 'Team LeBron,' or whatever the name will be, we'll take a look at it and we'll go from there. It's a partnership between us. It's not an endorsement deal. It's a partnership where we always come together and figure out the best way possible for both brands to be successful," he continued.

STL Today reports that the brand and James have not disclosed the financial terms with the recently signed deal.
