The music business seems to be inherited these days.

Gloria Estefan's daughter Emily has kickstarted her music performance career by releasing her first ever music video.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the song is entitled "F&ck to Be."

The video opens in first person perspective from inside of a car, following the singer, almost emphasizing her journey toward this moment. Then suddenly she arrives in front of a mirror, seeing herself in the new light and, by extension, allowing the audience to see her in a new light as well. Then it is off to get dressed up and made up for the big moment. We see her try on different looks until she finally arrives at a magazine with her name on it.

Gloria Estefan directed the music video.

It's an interesting metaphor for the singer's attempt to carve out her own path despite the fame of both of her parents.

Both Gloria and Emilio Estefan recently received the Medal of Freedom from President Obama and are major Grammy winners.

"I mean, it's really hard. How am I supposed to top the Medal of Freedom and all that stuff?" said the debutante regarding how difficult it will be to match her parents' successful careers. "I'm not going to follow that path. I'll just admire it and go the other way!"

According to the report, Emily is a miracle child for both Gloria and Emilio Estefan. The couple never thought they would have a couple after Gloria Estefan suffered a tour bus crash.

Emily is not the only child of a major Latin superstar to announce her intent on a music career. Not too long ago, Camila Fernandez, daughter of Alejandro Fernandez and granddaughter of legendary singer Vicente Fernandez, also announced her intent to follow a musical career.
