The first sequel to the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" newly rebooted franchise has officially released its first trailer. There never seems to be a bad time for Michael Bay to put out another instant hit film based on toys and cartoons from the 80s.

According to Collider, "TMNT2" is looking to outdo its predecessor in terms of sheer awesome stunts and onscreen action. This time though, the project has brought a few of the old characters back into the film, and there are some amazing nostalgic moments for long time fans of the turtle heroes.

The first thing to realize is that Stephen Amell is officially making his debut on the franchise as the vigilante of justice, hockey mask-wearing hero Casey Jones.

Fans also get to finally see Tyler Perry's villainous side, when he debuts in the franchise as the mad scientist Baxter Stockman.

But what is most exciting about the new film is the official debut of the Turtles' funniest foes, Bebop and Rocksteady, who are respectively the mutated forms of a warthog and a rhinoceros.

The two villains get introduced as the clumsy yet dangerous and destructive foes the Turtles have battled in past shows and films alongside Shredder.

Another interesting aspect of the trailer is that it shows the Turtles in their new party trailer, which doubles as a weapon of war against their foes. The clip hilariously shows how the machine can launch spinning discs at cars in front of them. The ammo is not any random metal either, but sewer manhole covers from the heroes' secret lair.

The turtles' enemies in the film also seem to employ powerful technological weapons, capable of directly affecting the atmosphere. The result is some Turtle action high in the sky with some amazing special effects.
