If you haven't tried the stable version of WhatsApp for Windows OS, now is the perfect time to do so as it has recently been made available for download at the Windows Phone Store.

According to NeuroGadget, WhatsApp Update 2.12.222 unfortunately doesn't come with new features as well as major changes in the app. What it can do, however, is fix the bugs that have prevented the app from functioning well. It may confuse users rather than understand what it actually does, but currently, this new update has similar content as the WhatsApp Update 2.12.212. Both WhatsApp update takes aim on the feature of starred messages and new interfaces on its camera.

 

Although there were no significant mentions on what type of bug it fixes, rumors have surfaced that it's about an update on WhatsApp's video calling feature. The said update was allegedly assumed to be available on the Blackberry 10, Windows Phone, iOS and Android platform. According to the Product Reviews website, the reason why WhatsApp has not integrated so much new feature is their inability to provide a changelog on the update they released for Windows Phone users last Dec. 8.

Since there have been no changelog either for the WhatsApp Update 2.12.222, the possibility of some minor fixes were the only ones implemented. These fixes, however, come in the form of system stability that users may not even notice. Some feedbacks mentioned a negative product of the update, saying that there have been changes on voice messages, where users aren't able to hear them but can still send them. WhatsApp currently caters to almost 900 million users monthly and the number continues to rise after more people discover its awesome features. This mobile messaging application has been one of the few apps that significantly changed the way people send SMS. Another application similar to WhatsApp is Viber, which almost displays the same features.
