The highly anticipated premiere of The CW's "The 100" Season 3 has been a long time coming, but the new teaser trailer released clearly shows that the wait was well worth it.

According to The Wrap, Season 3 of the show is about to bring fans to the epic fallout of last season's final events, which has left Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) with some major backlash for her decisions.

As if committing a genocide is nothing to worry over, Clarke finds herself at odds with what her and Bellamy had to do in order to save their own people. It was a decision that left her on the trail of despair and ultimately, self-imposed exile.

Now, everyone is on the hunt for her and she cannot go anywhere without someone trying to kill or capture her for one reason or another.

There are also photos that appear to show her as a Grounder in season 3, but she could also be in hiding and disguised incognito to either stay safe or hide from her past. One thing is truly clear though, she is incredibly ashamed of what she did, even if it did save other lives.

But at what cost and whose lives are more important than others? This is an issue that has weighed heavily on her for quite some time and she is not sure who she should be loyal to or even who she loves. In the end, it came down to the lesser of two evils and she is in constant turmoil for even being the one who was in a position of power to make that decision.

Back at the Sky People camp, Bellamy seems to have made some sort of peace or even a friendship with Kane. But Kane does warn him about screwing up his role as the new leader of their camp. They believe that they are at peace now and things can go wrong in an instant.

Season 3 premieres on The CW on Jan. 21 at 9 p.m. EST.
