Bandai Namco has outed a new trailer for the arcade version of "Tekken 7." It features Akuma from the "Street Fighter" series clashing with familiar "Tekken 7" combatants.

The trailer, which is embedded below, was first released at the end of the King of Iron Fist tournament in Japan. It shows Akuma performing his classic moves, including Gohadokens and Goshoryukens.

According to Shoryuken, Akuma arrives to the world of "Tekken" as part of an arcade update known as "Fated Retribution." There's no mention when the update will be rolled out, but it also includes visual improvements and other new content.

The "Fated Retribution update" will be available for the arcade version of "Tekken 7" in Bandai Namco's home country of Japan. The latest iteration of the popular fighting game is still in development for the PlayStation 4. As of the moment, the console version is only scheduled to release in Japan.

Interestingly enough, Akuma has not been announced to be included in "Street Fighter 5." The last fighter to earn a spot in the game's launch roster is series newcomer Fang. The sly and deceptive character is the second-in-command of the Shadaloo organization headed by M. Bison.

Fang introduces a new fighting mechanic to the "Street Fighter" franchise: poison. Per EventHubs, when Fang's poison attack hits the opponent, the latter's life bar gradually decreases until Fang gets hurt or if the poison gets depleted. Fang's combat style mainly consists of long-range attacks and unsteady movements that exasperate opponents.

"Street Fighter 5" will feature the return of the franchise's popular and highly entertaining fighting formula, done by a collection of new and familiar faces. The line-up is composed of 16 fighters at the game's launch.

The scant pool of fighters has many fans disappointed. Luckily, more fighters will be added to "Street Fighter 5" via DLC, GameRant reported.

Meanwhile, Bandai Namco executive producer Katsuhiro Harada confirmed at Paris Games Week that "Tekken 7" is definitely arriving on the PlayStation 4. In addition, the console version will have special content not available on the game's arcade version, as per GameSpot.

Harada refrained from sharing further details on what those special content might be. However, IGN noted that Sony also took to the stage during the event. The company's CEO in Europe Jim Ryan told the audience that "Tekken 7" will be compatible with Sony's virtual reality headset called the PlayStation VR.

The overall success of PlayStation VR hinges on how many game developers would want to integrate Sony's new technology to their respective games. Let's just wait and see if Bandai Namco can create a virtual-reality experience for "Tekken 7" that doesn't induce motion sickness to players.
