Suffice it to say the ever-present themes of comedy and horror are starting mix in with gore and romance on "Ash vs Evil Dead."

In Episode 7 titled "Fire in the Hole," according to Entertainment Weekly, Amanda now seems to have lost her disdain for Ash, and they have become willing participants in the fight, making the trio of saviors a fully forged quartet.

After the diner fiasco in the previous episode, they find themselves running through the woods to find his buddy Lem, who he had just found out was sober and hunkering down with a militia that was heavily fortified and willing to take on a government entity if they needed to.

But when they get to the camp, all they find are blood and guts splattered all over the place and a few survivors who have already drawn their weapons on them. But they are also scared of what was in the woods and some of them are ready to run.

Ash tries to reason with them, and they seem to be less than smart about the situation. That is until Lem makes an appearance, which confirms Ash's suspicions he has gone full Deadite and slaughtered the camp.

Pablo and Kelly make a break for it, but Ash and Amanda are handcuffed to one another. They eventually find their way into a labyrinth underground. Lem catches up with them, and the underground chase begins. But when they find a way out, it is blocked by a gate and small arsenal of propane tanks. Amanda tricks Lem into finding them and blowing himself up. Ash and Amanda almost share a romantic moment but are interrupted by their friends.

Meanwhile, Kelly and Pablo get taken by the rest of the militia, and when they escape them, they are attacked by another demon. Pablo figures out real quick his weapon of choice will always be a truck.
