A new DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight is arriving a few days before Christmas, and the official release date has been announced.

Previous reports revealed that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will unleash new contents for Batman: Arkham Knight this December. However, the precise release date schedule was not revealed at the time.

Recently, the game publisher announced that the December DLC for Batman Arkham Knight is officially slated for Dec. 22, reports Ubergizmo. It comes with a photo mosaic of what's to come for the action-adventure video game.

The Season of Infamy expansion pack will bring in all-new four Most Wanted Missions. These "will be of the same length as the Most Wanted missions that are already available in Arkham Knight," Ubergizmo describes.

Moreover, PlayStation Lifestyle listed down all four fresh missions coming to the game. They are Beneath The Surface (Killer Croc), Wonderland (Mad Hatter), In From The Cold (Mister Freeze) and Shadow War (Ra's Al Ghul).

"Mad Hatter is playing a sinister mind-game with Batman and GCPD's finest are the pawns. Killer Croc has escaped from his maximum security cell and is wreaking havoc on a crashed airship,"  Warner Bros explained of the upcoming DLC, as previously posted on their official forum site that details all the contents scheduled to arrive for the game.

"The League of Assassins has returned to Gotham City, but what is their motive and who is in charge? And Mister Freeze may be closer than ever to completing his life's work...but at what cost?" the post continued.

Aside from the new missions to expect in the upcoming Batman Arkham Knight DLC, gamers will also be able to experience the 2009 Original Arkham Batmobile and drive it on race tracks. Similar to other downloadable Batmobiles, it will also be available for a conditional free-roam around the city of Gotham.

Other contents included in the December DLC for Batman Arkham Knight are the 2008 Movie Batman Skin and the Crime Fighter Challenge Pack #5 which includes six TBC AR Challenges. Below is a video from CabooseXBL detailing what the gamers will get from the DLC set to be released next week.

Batman Arkham Knight Season Pass holders will have access to the DLCs without shelling out additional fees. Meanwhile, the standalone price for the December content has not been revealed.
