An album promotion was supposed to be the center of the interview for singer R. Kelly and Huffington Post Live host Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani. However, the interview turned into a heated discussion about the RnB singer's sexual assault allegations on Monday, which ended up with Kelly walking out.

Kelly's latest album "The Buffet" was the initial topic of conversation during the live interview with Modarressy-Tehrani. Then, the host pointed out that there had been noticeably a huge decrease in sales with Kelly's latest album and his previous one back in 2013, "The Black Panties."

Then, Modarressy-Tehrani correlated the album sales with Kelly's recent sexual abuse allegations. "When you think about R. Kelly, I think people find it very difficult to not think about the multiple lawsuits, the multiple allegations, of you having inappropriate relations -- sexual relations -- with minors," the host said as quoted by USA Today, adding, "What do you say to those people who find it conflicting?"

The two then spoke at the same time, airing out their statements, with Kelly looking uncomfortable and stressing a point.

"I say, that," Kelly responded as quoted by the publication. "I say, I have a lot of fans around the world that love R. Kelly."

Kelly then finally became direct to the point as quoted by The Guardian, "I didn't come here for negative. I came here for positivity and I don't give people who have negativity towards me the time of day. Especially if it was what, I don't know how many years ago."

Furthermore, Kelly directly told his interviewer, "I'll talk to you like the beautiful lady you are. I did not come here to get interrogated, I didn't come here for a deposition ... If you don't think you're disrespecting me, that's the level of your intelligence."

Meanwhile, the heated interview was in light of Kelly's 2008 case on sexually abusing minors, where he was found not guilty on the 14 charges of having child abuse images, the news outlet revealed.

Kelly was also in the middle of another legal trouble back in 1996, where he settled another case alleging that he had had sex with a minor with a payment of $250,000.

It is also factual, according to the news agency, that the now 48-year-old artist married the late singer Aaliyah when she was 15 years old. The full interview between Kelly and Modarressy-Tehrani was posted on Huffington Post.
