The V10 launched globally in November, touting a 5.7-inch QHD display, a 2.1-inch 1024 x 160 secondary screen, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable native storage. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 SoC is under the hood, complete with a hexacore CPU and the Adreno 418 GPU. Android 5.1.1 boots the device while the pistons are kept pumping by a 3,000 mAh battery, per Digital Trends.

The V10 rocks a 16-megapixel rear-facing unit which has LED flash, laser autofocus and OIS. Its two five-megapixel front shooters are capable of taking selfies and holding video calls in high resolution.

Giz Mag explained that the smartphone's dual front camera setup lets users capture more vibrant, wide-angle 120-degree photos by fusing both images from each camera. The arrangement works like human eyes. More lenses provide a wider depth of field.

The V10 has a flat and sturdy design. It bears the familiar shape of an LG-made handset like the plain top and bottom bezels as well as the placement of the volume switches on the back. The device's plastic build is decorated with stainless steel bars on the side edges.

Vlad Savov of The Verge said LG has created a smartphone that rivals the Huawei Nexus 6P and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Performance is generally fluid while the camera is good enough to tempt newbie users to start using Instagram and Flickr.

The tech reviewer added that the V10 is quite expensive, considering some of its novelty hardware and unrefined attractions. Still, the smartphone is functional and super fun to play with.

Those caveats shouldn't worry interested takers, especially those who can own the V10 for free. In the slightest chance that you may already have the handset, click here to check out the top 10 V10 cases out in the market today.
