Here comes the man without fear... Michael C. Hall? No, it's Daredevil, the comic book hero.

At this point, the rumors of Six Feet Under and Dexter star Michael C. Hall playing the titular hero have reached fever-pitch. The idea of Hall playing Daredevil was at best a rumor, but this week Hall announced in an interview with Vulture magazine that he is open to playing the man without fear, Daredevil. Daredevil fans are excited as well.

This Daredevil is Marvel and Netflix's live-action series that is scheduled to start filming this summer in New York. The 13-episode series is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2015. Executive producer and show-runner will be Drew Goddard, the director and writer of The Cabin in the Woods. Goddard is also expected to direct the first episode in the Daredevil series.

Thirteen episodes might be a bit much for Hall, since he is seeking more short-term projects with a foreseeable start date and end date, Variety reported. But Hall says he would not turn down the possibility of a series, "I'd have to read the script," Hall said.

Hall, like Daredevil, was perhaps blind to the rumors of the Daredevil casting, CinemaBlend reported. While the rumors from all of the gossip websites have had Hall's name attached to the project, he has confirmed that Marvel or Netflix have not met or contacted him, they are just rumors. But the whole idea of the fandom influencing studios to cast Hall even has him questioning everything. Let us not forget Betty White who hosted Saturday Night Live because of the fandom.

Daredevil is the project however that appears to moving the fastest, The Global Dispatch reported.

The deal between Netflix and Marvel also includes three other original comic book adaptations: Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage, Variety reported. The Latin Post also reported two weeks ago that Terry Crews was rumored and interested in the role of Luke Cage.

For now, Hall is promoting the new play, now on Broadway, The Realistic Joneses, alongside Tracy Letts, Marisa Tomei and Toni Collette, CinemaBlend reported.
