Want to find out Lady Gaga's anti-aging secret? The "Born This Way" singer has now revealed her own unnatural way to look more youthful.

The 28-year-old pop star admits to using facelift tape "every day to look younger." In fact, it is part of her morning ritual, and the sticky tape apparently pulls the skin tight around her cheekbones and neck.

"When I have my wig cap on and I'm taping my face, it's a sort of meditation for me," she says. "Every day, it starts the same way. It's like a mantra."

"I wash my face, I pin my hair back and put on a wig cap and I ask, 'How am I going to form my eyes today with this tape? How will I pull back my neck with tape?,'" the singer adds.

Lady Gaga also insists that using the artificial strip of material can still be "honest" and authentic.

"Looking artificial can be honest," she says. "Being glamorous can come from a place of authenticity and a place of love."

However, plastic surgeon Jeya Prakash says otherwise: she warns that using the facelift tape can lead to permanent skin damage.

"By taping your face tight, you are reducing the circulation which means there are less nutrients getting to the skin, so abnormal collagen will be produced," she explains. "This is like internal scarring as different types of cells from the skin -- like with a scar. In the long term, it will speed up the aging process."
