Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are not the only big names hoping to secure the White House in 2016, as fictional President Frank Underwood made clear when he released (an equally fictitious) campaign ad to promote the fourth season of the Netflix hit series "House of Cards."

The online streaming service has confirmed that the latest installment of the political drama will be available starting March 4. Netflix even rolled out an Underwood website, FU2016.com, to celebrate the announcement, Computer Hoy noted.

Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey -- who also co-produces "House of Cards" -- has become a household name in the United States, and many die-hard fans of the series, including real-life President Barack Obama and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, have noted that they are anxiously awaiting the release of the episodes showing Underwood's latest adventures.

His commercial, meanwhile, is as full of patriotic imagery, generic statements and vague promises as any real campaign ad.

"It's a new day in America. Today, more people will go to work, return home to their families and sleep more soundly than ever before," the clip proclaims. "All because one man refuses to settle, putting people before politics. That man is Frank Underwood."

The "new day in America" line may well be an allusion to the iconic "Morning Again in America" ad shown during the re-election bid of Ronald Reagan, one of Underwood's most telegenic "predecessors."

"It's morning again in America," that ad claimed in 1984. "Today, more men and women will go to work than ever before in our country's history."

But unlike Reagan, Underwood actually makes an appearance in his commercial. Seen sitting behind the Resolute desk in the Oval Office, the "House of Cards" president makes an ominous announcement that fans of the show will certainly appreciate.

"America, I'm only getting started," Underwood says, before inevitably concluding, "I'm Frank Underwood, and I approve this message."
