The Robertsons will be returning on television for the upcoming "Duck Dynasty" Season 9 on A&E next month. And according to the network, the American reality series will feature back-to-back episodes as it premieres on Jan. 13. The show will also mark its 100th episode with the Season 9 one-hour finale on Feb. 17.

Following the marriage of John Luke Robertson, Willie and Korie Robertson's eldest son, to Mary Kate McEachern during the season 8 finale, the Robertson family will embark on new adventures as their story continues in the upcoming season of the series. And as the series kicks off with back-to-back episodes, here are 4 latest scoops about the family's new adventures this season.

1. Robertson family's road trip to Liberty University

The family will see some changes as they embark on a road trip to move John Luke and Mary Kate into Liberty University to start off their college lives. But what's more interesting about the trip is the family's stop in Nashville, where they visited Willie's pal and country music rapper Cold Ford, Reality TV World noted.

2. New business venture for Willie and Alan

Willie and Alan will see a new business venture as they help Miss Kay to open her own bakery, where West Monroe residents will finally get a taste of the Robertson matriarch's mouthwatering breads and pastries. According to Christian Today, Miss Kay has previously published a cookbook titled "Miss Kay's Duck Commander Kitcehn: Faith, Family and Food - Bringing Our Home to Your Table" in 2013.

3. WWE star Kurt Angle joins "Duck Dynasty" Season 9

As the family face some changes on the upcoming season of the series, professional WWE wrestler Kurt Angle will be joining the Robertsons in the show. And on Dec. 23, Angle confirmed the news on Twitter, Breathe Cast reported.

"'@2WTalk: I see that @RealKurtAngle is going to be on the upcoming new season of @DuckDynastyAE' 'It's True,'" he tweeted.

4. The Robertsons will raise awareness for wounded veterans

Aside from Jase getting up close and personal with his in-laws, Willie's recruitment of family members to settle an old dodgeball score and the brothers' mock-wrestling match, the family will also stage a color run with the help of retired U.S. Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell to raise awareness for wounded veterans.
