The first clip for the upcoming series "Bordertown" has been unveiled.

In the two minute video, the producers talk about the new show, which is an animated satire that deals with immigration.

In the clip, producer Gustavo Arellano talks about the complex and truthful characters that represent Latinos, and the fact that the protagonists are not stereotyped or stock characters.

Meanwhile, producer Lalo Alcaraz notes that the new show will likely appeal to Mexican immigrants and other Latinos, as well as a larger, general demographic. He also notes that it is a very topical show, and it features a lot of political commentary.

At the end of the new video, Arellano speaks in Spanish, a signal that the show hopes to reach the Mexican and Latino community in the U.S.

The new animated comedy tells the story of two families living in a Southwest desert town on the U.S.-Mexico border. It follows the obstacles these two families experience, navigating the border experience and life in the U.S.

"Bordertown" was created and written by Mark Hentemann ("Family Guy"), who is also the executive producer alongside Oscar nominee Seth MacFarlane ("Ted"). The new show is voiced by an all-star cast that includes Hank Azaria, Nicholas Gonzalez, Alex Borstein, Missi Pyle and Judah Friedlander.

Fox hopes to obtain a big audience and gain the same type of attention "Family Guy" obtained. Fox is joining the Latino bandwagon, becoming the latest network to make a show that appeals to the demographic. NBC is already banking on "Superstore" and "Telenovela," which star two of the most famous Latinas in the TV industry, Eva Longoria and America Ferrera.

"Bordertown" premieres on Sunday, Jan. 3 at 9:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
