Are you a watermelon lover who just so happens to have quite a sweet tooth as well? If so, you're in luck this summer. Oreo has just introduced a limited edition watermelon flavor for its famous chocolate and cream cookies.

"We chose Watermelon because it is a fun, summer flavor that goes great with the Golden OREO cookie," Oreo spokesperson Kimberly Fontes told TIME.

So far, the internet has been abuzz with interest over the extremely odd choice of flavors for one of America's most beloved cookie brands. Surprisingly, the reviews have so far been overwhelmingly positive. As one blogger notes, Oreo succeeded where it has failed in the past.

"They didn't have the overbearing sweetness that the Candy Corn Oreos or the Blizzard Oreos or even the Birthday Cake Oreos had," the blogger Junk Food Guy wrote. "No, these were subtle in flavor, with just enough watermelon to make me smile."

Junk Food Guy noted that the subtle taste of watermelon mixed with the largely creme flavor really helped the cookie. The outside cookie is a golden brown whereas the inside is a mixture of pink and green creme.

"These DIDN'T overwhelm me with artificial (well, overly artificial) watermelon flavor.  Instead the immediate taste I got was a watermelon taste that tasted like, frankly, it had been blended with creme." Continuing, "the Golden Oreo added a nice buttery sweetness to the whole thing."

It is uncertain for how long Oreo will keep the watermelon flavor in stores, but its debut certainly caught many people by surprise. The cookies are currently only being sold in Target stores, but if they catch on in popularity, may soon be sold at more locations.
