Netflix has announced 15 new original series to premiere on the streaming network in 2016.

One thing that Netflix subscribers love to see is new original content from the streaming platform. Users are going to have plenty of binge-worthy shows available soon.

According to Indiewire, the streaming platform has already given its subscribers enough viewing fodder to keep them glued to their screens for hours, even days at a time.

Even the Emmys have picked up on the platform's popularity, and there has been major buzz from the awards circuit for Netflix shows from 2015. But awards aren't the only draw for viewers. Shows on Netflix also eschew censorship, which fans seem to really love. HBO has seen success for similar reasons over the past 20 years as well.

This year the Netflix lineup includes originals in the categories of drama, comedy, mini-series and documentaries. Some great shows coming soon include "Chelsea Does," "Fuller House," "Love," "Marseille," "The Ranch," Marvel's "Luke Cage," "Flaked," and several more.

Although this is the upfront report from Netflix, the platform has also been known to slide a few surprises in here and there, giving their subscribers a little extra present for the year. Netflix is also actively pursuing indie projects from lesser known producers and creative minds.
