Episode 10 of "Ash vs Evil Dead" was the official finale for season one of the hit Starz show, and it went down in some classically fantastic fashion.

According to Entertainment Weekly, "The Dark One" was everything a fan of Ash Williams and the "Evil Dead" would have expected, except just a little bit better.

"Cabin carnage" is the best way to describe the episode, which delivered on all levels of its original premise -- comedy and horror.

If there is one thing that Ash is known for, that is his ostensibly selfish outlook on life. But that does not always happen and he is also known to care for people, or at least go the extra two feet to save some lives. That is what happened on the finale. Both of his attitudes shined brightly through right up until the end.

After a plethora of carnage in the cabin and the addition of the hiker girl who made her way back, the showdown between Ash and Ruby had finally taken shape and the two have squared off. It seemed to be the showdown that "Evil Dead" fans have been waiting decades to see. Ash vs the true Evil Dead.

Ash finally cuts down Deadite Amanda with his chainsaw, and he is then swooped up and locked in the cellar with Ruby and evil face Pablo. He fights them both, and in between the battles, Ruby consistently tries to make a deal with him. His comical responses were a turn down to say the least. But when Kelly finally makes her way down the cellar to help him, evil face Pablo attacks her.

Pablo has his hands around Kelly's neck when Ruby makes one last effort to deliver a deal to Ash, which would put him on his way down to Jacksonville, Florida and done with all the devil slaying. He responds by demanding cash and for Kelly and Pablo to be included in on the deal. Ruby rejects the cash but delivers him the other part of the deal and the three heroes find themselves in a car, heading for Florida.

Kelly and Pablo are both horrified he would make such a deal, and the radio reports large sinkholes opening up all around the area. But Ash turns up his AC/DC music and seems oblivious to it all.
