For those die-hard fans that have been anxiously awaiting the return of "The Walking Dead" on AMC, that won't come until Feb. 14. But the episode has already been coined as the Valentine's Day Massacre, and there is good reason why.

According to Vanity Fair, the show's top brass Scott Gimple and Robert Kirkman weighed in on what is coming in the winter premiere for the show, and it is not pretty. As always, there is going to be a lot of blood shed by both sides of the war.

"Episode 9 is one of the biggest episodes we've done," Gimple said.

That may have been just a weird comment for the fans to latch on to, but Kirkman laughed and agreed with the showrunner when he said it.

"So many people die," Kirkman said.

But if you look at the breakdown, there is a lot that is really supposed to happen from the comic book source material and there are many ways that can go down.

According to Uproxx, Kirkman has promised fans that the low body count of the first half of Season 6 is about to be made up for by coining the Valentine's Day term.

Although the threat of the Saviors has already been teased for part two of Season 6, it is not the Saviors who are going to be the killers in the next episode. Fans should remember that the Wolves and the Saviors are two separate groups and present equal but opposing threats to Alexandria.

If fans are keeping up with the show and matching it to the comic series, then you know that one of Jesse's sons dies, and Carl loses an eye. But that could get switched up in the next episode, as the show likes to do to differentiate itself with the comic series.

So that means there could be a real possibility Carl could be the one who gets pulled back into the zombie herd, knowing Jesse had a tight grip on him when fans last saw them holding hands and moving away from the herd. That could also mean that Rick could very likely kill Jesse for doing it to save her own sons.
