Registrations are now being accepted for the Google I/O 2014 that will be held on June 25-26, 2014 at Moscone West Convention Center in San Francisco. For this year, registration will be done by a general lotto scheme instead of last year's system. There was uproar over the shortage of tickets that led to both frustration and confusion as registrations poured in last year.

How to Get Tickets

  • Submit your details any time before 2:00 PDT on Friday, April 18. The "qualified applicants" will be selected by Google at random. Early and late registrants will get the chance to attend the event under this new scheme.
  • Only one ticket will be issued to a registrant. All Google I/O tickets are applicable for the two-day conference. There are no available single-day tickets. Registrants must apply using their Google+ account.
  • The chosen applicant will still have to pay for the ticket. Once you are selected, the amount will automatically be charged on your Google Wallet so make sure that it has money available.

Discounted prices are offered to students and faculty from an accredited high school or college as well as 2014 students who graduate before Google I/O. The price of the discounted ticket is $300. However, students will need to submit their transcript and school ID while faculty members will need to submit their school ID during check-in at the Google I/O conference.

Failure to show these requirements will hinder your opportunity to attend the conference and no refunds will be given for those who forget to bring identification. Participants need to be at least 15 years old. A signed parental consent form or an accompanying guardian or parent is required for those below 18 years old.

The general admission and academic admission tickets are $900 and $300 respectively. Only the original applicant or registrant can use the tickets. The general ticket refunds can be made until June 1, 2014.
