The recently concluded 42nd Annual People's Choice Awards was indeed one memorable event as it was filled with several notable moments, from hilarious spoofs to poignant song tribute. The event was hosted by "Glee" star Jane Lynch and was held at the Microsoft on Jan. 6, Wednesday.

So, here's a recap of the top 5 interesting highlights that transpired during the award ceremony plus the complete list of winners.

1. Dakota Johnson's Wardrobe Malfunction

The "Fifty Shades of Grey" actress had quite an embarrassing moment when she experienced a wardrobe malfunction. But instead of feeling mortified, the brunette star, who accepted the Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress award, told the audience that presenter Leslie Mann broke her dress. She even gushed the words, "It's not like nobody here hasn't already seen my boobs." Fortunately, Johnson was helped by Allison Bree, Examiner noted.

2. Vin Diesel's A Capella Tribute to Paul Walker

Emotions were high when the "Furious 7" actor delivered his acceptance speech and ended it with a tribute to Walker, who passed away in a car crash on Nov. 30, 2013. According to Today, Diesel sang the chorus of Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's hit, "See You Again."

"You know, as I was coming up here, I always do this," he said, as per The Telegraph. "I say 'I'm not going to get emotional about, you know, winning these awards'. And I was cool when I was sitting in my seat, and then they handed me two awards."

"They said to make this short and sweet, so I will try to make this short and sweet," he added. "It was a labour of love. My only message to you is you'd be amazed what you can do with love. You'd be amazed at how powerful a force that is. When we didn't want to come back to filming when the tragedy was too heavy, it was the love of everyone combined that saw us through to the end."

3. Miss Universe 2015 Blunder Parody

One of the hilarious moments during the People's Choice Awards (PCA) was the parody of Steve Harvey's infamous Miss Universe gaffe, E! News reported. Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez even made an appearance. Just kidding! It was actually someone who looked like her but wasn't Sofia Vergara.

4. Taylor Kinney's Lady Gaga Shoutout

Another notable PCA moment was Kinney's sweet shoutout to fiancée Lady Gaga when he accepted the award for Favorite Dramatic TV actor.

"My fiancée couldn't be here tonight, but she says hello, wishes she could," the "Chicago Fire" star said. "I love you, babe. Thank you for having my back and supporting me. You inspire me every day."

5. Ellen DeGeneres' Acceptance Speech

DeGeneres also gave a funny yet inspirational acceptance speech when she was called as the recipient of the Favorite Humanitarian Award.

"I started out as a comedian, and I wanted to make people laugh," the TV host said, as Entertainment Tonight quoted. "I wanted to make people happy and feel good. It is strange to get an award for being nice and generous and kind which is what we're all supposed to do with one another. That's the point of being a human. Would I call myself the Mother Theresa of talk shows? The Dalai Lama of daytime? No. But I'm sure someone has."

"I read an amazing quote recently: 'What if there was no such thing as love, just proof of love?' I don't know if it was from the Bible or Instagram but it was very powerful to me," DeGeneres added. "I want everyone to know we all really really love one another and we need to get back to that. We need more of that right now in the world. That is what most of us feel."
