With just over a month to go until Season 2 of "Better Call Saul," the producers have officially released a new trailer that is quite informative for fans of the show and the original "Breaking Bad" series on AMC.

The trailer opens with Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk), aka Saul Goodman, delivering a line that fans know all to well.

"I've been doing the right things for all these years now, and where has it gotten me? Nowhere," McGill says, indicating that the birth of Goodman, McGill's alter ego, is just around the corner.

There is also reason to believe from the trailer that bad guy Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), whom viewers hate to love, has positioned himself to make a new business arrangement with McGill. The trailer reveals how that influences the protagonist's decisions moving forward.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Odenkirk really shines with his portrayal of the protagonist, as he transitions from a good guy to the ruthless lawyer of Walter White.

Goodman's pre-Heisenberg days are put on display to show just how a man like him, who has a good understanding of the law, can go from helping the good guys to laundering money for an emerging drug kingpin. The show follow's Saul's progression, from making an honest buck to helping make Heisenberg the most notorious, successful meth producer in the southwest.

This shift mirrors the one fans witnessed in the original series, in which White (Bryan Cranston) transformed from a schoolteacher and devoted family man to a ruthless cartel leader in the span of only a year.

Just like with White, Goodman made his own transition at some point before the events of "Breaking Bad." After revealing a few hidden layers of that nefarious persona during Season 1, it appears he is about to really pull back the curtain and let himself loose in Season 2.

Fans of the series can watch the new trailer below. You can also tune into AMC on Feb. 15 to catch the first episode.
