Smash hit series "House of Cards" has been dropping teasers and trailers at random times during the past month. The latest teaser trailer dropped during the Golden Globe Awards last night, with a special plug at the end that seemed to go out to the organizers of the event.

According to Maxim, the political hit thriller on Netflix chooses its advertising well, with what some may even consider to be controversial moments in the media.

As many already know, Season 3 of the series left off with Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) as president, due to a resignation of course. At the end of the season, Frank's wife has said she was leaving him and the show ended on that, which is somewhat of a cliffhanger due to the nature of events leading up to it and what was going on in the show.

Underwood was deeply embedded within the presidential election season, and he is under pressure from the opposing party as well his own to leave office. Of course the political aficionado has seen and dealt with worse threats to his livelihood, so fans are waiting to see just how he plans to smash his opponents, which could also include his wife and her proclamation that she wants a divorce.

If there is anything that Underwood is most well known for, it is being cool and calm under pressure. But behind the scenes, he is a monstrous entity waiting for the right moment to strike.

This year, the series was not nominated for the Golden Globe of Best Drama. So how do they get their face on the screen during the ceremony? They advertise of course.

Fans of the show also know that its web presence is at FU2016.com. That website was prominently displayed at the end of the teaser, which seemed to also hold a double meaning straight to the Golden Globes organizers.
