New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has a message for voters in New Hampshire, "Don't vote first-time senators."

Although it's not stated directly, Christie's statements were a clear shot to both Sen. Marco Rubio and Sen. Ted Cruz who are his opponents in the GOP Presidential race, but both are first-time senators.

Christie said, "The U.S. Senate is like a school," during a campaign stop in a crowded town hall-esque assembly. He added that, "They tell you where to go, what time to show up, what kind of questions you're going to get."

For good measure, Christie compared his position in the government and said that being a governor is very different, because he will be bombarded with issues left and right, "at all hours of the day and the night."

Primarily, the New Jersey governor is competing with Rubio in the state, as it is where he's betting his hope to gain the presidential nomination, Latino Fox News has learned. As noted, Chris Christie boasted his executive experience as the governor of New Jersey and also his tenure as a former U.S. attorney.

Also during his campaign stop in New Hampshire, Christie said that voters should look at President Barack Obama as an example, who's a first time senator when he was elected in the presidency back in 2008.

He said that when America elected Obama, people should know back then that he had never run anything other than a 30-man staff. However, the country still put him in charge of the biggest and most complicated government in the world.

According to US News, Christie was seen in the beginning as a long-shot to receive the GOP nomination. But in recent polls, the governor saw his numbers rise, particularly in the state of New Hampshire, where voters are looking for an alternative to leading candidate Donald Trump.

Christie also portrayed himself as an experienced governor and even said that he can take on the threats of the terrorist group ISIS.

He also warned the voters to look further ahead of the Republican debate. As when the GOP nominee is on stage debating Hillary Clinton, who he thinks will win the Democratic nomination, Christie said that Clinton will "eat alive" the untested candidate.

To give the down low, Hillary Clinton is currently the undisputed leader in the Democratic polls, and has been clearly winning every Democratic debate.

During the CNN debate in 2015, Clinton showed her dominance and was seen as the more trusted candidate regarding issues.

Christie added, "She will pat some people on the head and cut their hearts out," However, he clarified that Hillary cannot do that to a guy hailing from New Jersey.
