"Jessica Jones" Season 2 is officially in the works.

Netflix has confirmed that it's giving fans more butt kicking action with "Jessica Jones" just two months following the end of the first season.

The announcement isn't really surprising considering the accolades and reviews that Netflix's second Marvel show has received. Not only is the show being praised for its outstanding screenplay, but actress Krysten Ritter's portrayal of the strong female protagonist has been noteworthy.

In addition, "Jessica Jones" has been commended for highlighting feminist issues, as reported by Mashable.

On Sunday, Executive Producer Rachael Taylor said at the Television Critics Association presentation, "We do approach [the show] as a 13-hour movie. Each hour of that movie is its own chapter."

So what can fans expect for the much anticipated "Jessica Jones" Season 2?

A panel discussion held recently with the show's the cast and creators revealed some "Jessica Jones" Season 2 spoilers, according to Slash Film.

In Season 1, Jessica was able to annihilate Kilgrave (David Tennant). However, because of the remnants of the villain's mind control on Jessica, fans will see her still recovering from the emotional trauma.

"I don't think that trauma goes away with Kilgrave's death," Ritter said during the panel.

Meanwhile, Mike Colter said he's still expecting to bump into Jessica even as he's set to star on the upcoming Marvel Netflix series, "Luke Cage."

"I think where he goes will be directly related to where he came from in the story of Jessica Jones. It's a long arc, a long storyline. It leaves us in a great place to see how we interact again, whether it's 'The Defenders' or 'Jessica Jones' season two or whatever," Colter explained.

As for the next villain in "Jessica Jones" Season 2, Marvel Television Head Jeph Loeb said next season's plot is still in the works, saying that the show's creators are still in the "just going yay" stage.

Following her panel, Ritter further spoke with journalists on what's to come for her character.

"I love Jessica and I'm so excited to see what happens next for her. When I watched the show the weekend it came out with everybody else, I was like, 'Okay, what's next?' Which is kind of what happens with all the Netflix shows. You need more," Ritter said.

"Jessica Jones" Season 1 is available for streaming on Netflix.

Other upcoming superhero shows on Netflix include "Daredevil" Season 2 in March, "Luke Cage," "Iron Fist," "Defenders," and "Punisher," which is starting pre-production this week, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
