The next all-new episode of "Arrow" will be chaotic and intense as Roy Harper unleashes his rage and becomes a threat to Starling City, forcing the Green Arrow to figure out a way to stop him without killing him.

In last week's episode, "The Man Under the Hood," both Thea Queen and Laurel Lance had a hard time grappling with the secrets revealed to them by Slade Wilson, reports MTV News. Thea dealt with it by distancing herself from her lying family, while Laurel eventually seemed to accept the truth about the secret identities of her ex-boyfriend, Oliver Green, and her sister, Sara.

In the meantime, Oliver continued to prepare for the oncoming war with Slade by synthesizing a cure for the Mirakuru serum. One of the game-changing moments from the episode occurred when Oliver broke into Slade's lair and found Roy Harper strapped to a bio-transfuser that was extracting his Mirakuru-infused blood into 20 large convicts.

In the upcoming episode of "Arrow," which is titled "Seeing Red," Roy's rage will come in the way of Oliver taking down Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke. Before Oliver can finish his showdown with Slade, he much stop the red-hooded hero who loses control over his emotions, crashes a Moira Queen rally and nearly kills Thea. According to ScreenCrush.com, Diggle and Sara seem ready to take Roy down for good, but Oliver seems to be distraught over the idea of a fatal ending for the young future crimefighter.

Here's the official synopsis of "Seeing Red," as posted by CinemaBlend.com:

"The mirakuru sends Roy (Colton Haynes) into an uncontrollable rage and he unleashes on the city. After Roy's deadly fight with a police officer, Oliver (Stephen Amell) realizes the mirakuru has taken over Roy completely and must figure out a way to stop him. Things get more complicated after Sara (Caity Lotz) declares that Roy is too far gone and the only way to stop him is to kill him.

"Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) believes she can breakthrough to Roy so she goes on camera at Moira's (Susanna Thompson) campaign rally to lure him to Verdant. Her ploy works but after Roy attacks Thea, Team Arrow unleashes on him."

In a recent interview with TVLine, "Arrow" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg teased that in addition to the action-packed "roller coaster" ride taking place, "there are a couple of flashbacks that are going to blow people's minds" by the end of the season.

"Arrow" S2E20, "Seeing Red," airs Wednesday, April 23 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
