The 2017 Ford Fusion just received a nifty update and, during the last week's Detroit Auto Show, Ford unveiled its most high-tech Fusion yet, including a number of awesome new features and updated specs.

Users now have the choice between two variants of the Fusion. The Ford Fusion V6 Sport and the Ford Fusion Platinum.

According to Ford Executive Vice President Raj Nair, "Fusion offers people a lot more car choices - including help technology, beautiful design and a more rewarding driving experience than other midsize sedans."

The Ford Fusion Platinum is for those who are looking for a more refined kind of ride. The car features Ford's award-winning 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that is paired with an all-wheel drive set up.

Dispatch Tribunal noted that its innards are not the main selling point of the Platinum, but rather its interiors. To give the down low, this variant of the 2017 Ford Fusion have its instrument and door trim panels to just scream "elegance" because it's wrapped with antiqued Cocoa leather.

Users will definitely exude an aura of "class" and "refined taste" with this car because even its steering wheel is also hand-wrapped in a premium Venetian leather.

But Ford is not quite done yet. For its exteriors, the Fusion Platinum has a uniquely designed grill, which features a Magnetic paint finish and a 19-inched polished steel rims.

However, for people looking for an equally classy car, but with performance-inspired sensibilities, they can turn their attention to the Fusion V6 Sport.

In a report by The Lasco Press, the V6 Sport is equipped with a 2.7-liter Twin Turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine that has a projected 325 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. In addition to that, it also has an all-wheel drive setup that drivers will love.

The suspension is also tweaked to give maximum comfort and performance. Featuring a continuously controlled damping for real-time suspension, the car's system has a pothole detection technology, which adjust the shock absorbers quickly to reduce impact.

Moreover, the V6 Sport is considered to be the top-of-the-line model in Fusion line and also will become a part of the American car company's performance focused vehicle line.

According to Ford's website, all variants of the 2017 Fusion will be equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission and new technology such as the lane-keeping assists that help drivers maintain proper lane positioning.

In addition, the Fusion will also include Ford's new SYNC3 technology that integrate communications and entertainment into the center console.

The 2017 Ford Fusion will be available for American buyers this summer, with the V6 Sport variant coming in a few weeks later.
