Gael García Bernal's wife, Dolores Fonzi, was recently interviewed by THC, where she spoke at length about marijuana.

"I've been smoking for 20 years," she said, according to El Mundo. "At the time, I used it to open up and as this has already happened, now I use it to relax. It's like a glass of wine that we taste."

The Argentinian actress, who is on the cover of THC, explained that she does everything while under the influence of marijuana, though she understands that not everyone can use marijuana recreationally.

"I do what I need to do during the day," she said. "I take the children to the garden. I feed them. I bathe them. I give them dinner. Then, I smoke, and it's how I break with everyday obligations. I use it to read, to see movies or sleep. They [my children] see it and realize that it is not a common cigarette."

Fonzi does not hide her marijuana usage, and she thinks she can speak to her children, aged 5 and 3, about it. She says she would speak about her personal experiences, so that they can form their own opinions.

"I wouldn't stimulate or suppress them," she said. "They can find their own way."

She is certainly not the first celebrity parent that has smoked in front of her children.

Gael García Bernal likes to keep his personal life very well protected, but Fonzi's story gives a peek into the life of the couple and their children, Lazaro and Libertad.

The actress has been working since 1996, and has starred in "Plata Quemada," "El Aura" and "El Fondo Del Mar." She and her husband first met on the set of the 2001 film "Vidas Privadas." They welcomed their first child and married in 2009. Their second child was born in 2011.
