The Dallas Cowboys haven't quite been themselves in recent memory, with just one playoff win in the last 17 seasons. The Cowboys haven't even had a winning record in the regular season since 2009, when the team finished 11-5. But with owner Jerry Jones spending more on advertising than football, "America's Team" is always making headlines.

The Cowboys' opponents have been announced, and Wednesday the entire NFL schedule will be released to the public.

As always, the Cowboys will play four pre-season games, eight home games, and eight road games. For the first time, America's team will not be playing in America during the regular season. Although the order of the games has not been fully released yet, we do know that the Cowboys will verse the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Nov. 9. This will be the Jaguars' second of four games playing in London. The Cowboys four pre-season opponents are the San Diego Chargers, Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins, and the Denver Broncos. The dates of those games have not been announced.

The Cowboys' home games will consist of playing:

  1. Arizona Cardinals
  2. Houston Texans
  3. Philadelphia Eagles
  4. New York Giants
  5. Washington Redskins
  6. San Francisco 49ers
  7. New Orleans Saints
  8. Indianapolis Colts

The Cowboys' road games will consist of playing:

  1. Philadelphia Eagles
  2. New York Giants
  3. Washington Redskins
  4. Chicago Bears
  5. Seattle Seahawks
  6. Jacksonville Jaguars (In London)
  7. Tennessee Titans
  8. St. Louis Rams

Wow, that's a pretty tough calendar of opponents for Cowboys this upcoming season. As always, the Cowboys will face the Eagles, Giants, and Redskins each twice per year. The NFC East is going to be a tight race as usual. But outside of divisional games the competition doesn't get easier.

The Cowboys will play against the competitive NFC West which includes the San Francisco 49ers and current Super Bowl champions, Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks are known for being just about unbeatable at home at Century Link Field, breaking noise records, and that's where head coach Jason Garret will be leading his team this season. The Cowboys must also face the  Andrew Luck led Colts who made playoffs last season, and the Cardinals, who have a star studded defense led by Patrick Peterson. Aside facing powerhouse defenses, the Cowboys must also verse the Saints and Drew Brees, in Dallas.

The Saints annihilated the Cowboys last season, 49-17.

With Tony Romo coming off back surgery, Jason Garret's questionable decision making, and a sub-par defense that no longer has DeMarcus Ware, another 8-8 season may just be lurking in Big D.
