Singer, songwriter and producer R. Kelly recently opened up all doors to his life in an interview with GQ Magazine after being silent about all the circulating issues thrown at him. He tackled everything, like his relationship with then underaged Aaliyah and his child pornography cases, the magazine reports.

In a lengthy article about the rapper's life, including his dark past that he opened up back in 2012 in a memoir, the musician gave a much deeper response to his previous relationship with the late singer Aaliyah.

When asked about the rumors regarding his marriage to Aaliyah when she was only 15 years old, Kelly responded, "I will never have that conversation with anyone," he told the publication. "Out of respect for Aaliyah, and her mother and father who has asked me not to personally. But I can tell you I loved her, I can tell you she loved me, we was very close. We were, you know, best best best best friends." He added of the rumored Rosemont, Illinois marriage rumors with Aaliyah on Aug. 31, 1994.

Furthermore, Kelly slammed rumors that were circulating, saying that he was involved in an alleged video with a child after a court ruled in favor of him, relieving him of being sentenced for child pornography.

"When a person is found not guilty, they're found not guilty," he told the news outlet. "It doesn't matter if it's a murder case, it doesn't matter what case it is, when they're found not guilty, they're not guilty. And I think that a lot of haters out there wanted to see me go down."

According to E! News, Kelly, who was charged of 14 counts of recording a video of himself with an underaged girl back in 2008, was found not guilty. The decision further made Kelly firmer in his stance that he was innocent and treated unfairly.

Kelly told GQ that although he is not a perfect person, he will never sleep with underaged girls. He further explained that he had a tough childhood, as he was sexually abused back when he was seven years old as he revealed in his memoir titled "Soulacoaster."

Despite being wronged, the 49-year-old rapper revealed that he did not press charges to the family member who allegedly sexually abused him because as he grew older, he learned to forgive, he told the magazine.

Kelly recently released a new album last December 2014 titled "The Buffett," MTV reports.
