Although Jack Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) will have a hard adjusting to the fact that a bomb has left him paralyzed, new spoilers reveal that Angela (Michaela Conlin) will be right by his side each step of the way during the rest of Season 11 of "Bones."

The winter finale of "Bones" ended with a shocking twist after an explosion caused catastrophic damage to Hodgins' spinal cord, leaving him paralyzed. As a result, he will struggle to adjust to his circumstances and being wheel-chair bound. However, Conlin teased that Angela will be there to help him cope.

There will be "a lot of angst" for Angela and Hodgins in the wake of the explosion, the actress told TVLine. "There are different stages of adapting to a tragedy like this, and right now we're in the stage of Hodgins giving up a little bit," she previewed. "[The writers] are really honoring those depths, which we're really grateful for."

Conlin also said she is pleased to see "Angela fighting for" her man because "she always sort of has one foot out the door. But now she's like, 'I'm all in with you, I want this to work.'"

During an interview with TV Guide, Thyne opened up about how his character will cope with paralysis in the second half of the season.

"I think Episode 11 is a [sic] almost like a false sense of acceptance because he believes, 'Well, this is temporary,'" the actor said. "Starting with Episode 12 and beyond is when he really, suddenly starts going through the stages of depression, and anger, and frustration. What starts happening is he's literally pushing everyone away, and it's pretty hard for the team, because someone they love is really angry and aggressively pushing them away."

Fortunately, Thyne teased that Hodgins will likely learn to make the best of his circumstances.

"If and when we get to see Jack get to acceptance stage with his current situation, he will definitely have some fun, but he really does have to get there," Thyne said.

Meanwhile, Fox co-chairman and CEO Dana Walden stated that this may very well be the final season for the long-running CBS series. When asked about the prospects of "Bones" renewing its contract for a 12th season, Walden admitted at the Television Critics Association winter press tour that she's "really not sure" that the show will be picked up for again, reports TVLine.

"It's top of next-week business to start talking with the producers about whether this will be the end of its run or if it will go another season," she added.

If, however, the comedy-drama series is not picked up, then Walden promises that fans will be given a "satisfying" ending.

She said show creator Hart Hanson and the show writers "will be given plenty of time to start writing a meaningful ending to the show. They have such a loyal fan base, and those fans deserve a satisfying ending," she said.

Executive producer John Collier said fans should expect the series to return sometime in March or April, reports TVLine
