Where in the United States can young Latinos thrive and have better chances of being successful?

Based on housing and occupational data provided by Forbes and NBC Universo, the following cities are your best bets for the achievement of your personal goals.

San Antonio, Texas

It's no wonder that a Texan city made it to the list, along with others from the same state. It's a suitable area considering it's quite near Mexico and has a climate and landscape not very different from its southerly neighbor.

It also has a thriving Latino population that gives that communal feel. Further, as of 2015, its home ownership rate is higher compared to other locations at 56.9 percent, with a median household income of $42,377. As per NBC Universo, the city is also one of the most affordable ones on this roster and gives good opportunities for minority entrepreneurs.

Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas

With a median household income of $41,622 and 50 percent home ownership rate, this city gives young Latinos more good reasons to settle here and anticipate a bright future. There are a lot of employment opportunities here considering this city has more Fortune 500 companies than any other city in the country. The rent is pretty low, as well as the unemployment rate. About 43 percent of the population here are Latino, according to NBC Universo.

Washington, D.C.

In 2012, according to 89.3 KPCC, the Latinos who earn the most are from this city, with a $62,000 average annual income. It also had the lowest rate of poverty among Latinos in that year.

As of 2015, the average annual income has risen to $65,736, with home ownership rates at 45.4 percent.

Houston, Texas

Minorities seeking to stretch their entrepreneurial limbs will find this city a most hospitable one for their business ventures. The median household income has been pegged at $43,020, with a 52.3 percent home ownership rate.

Baltimore, Maryland

Latinos in this city earn an average of $59,939 annually, making Baltimore one of the places where Latinos earn the most. This fact was true even back in 2012 when the average annual income was at $56,400. Average home ownership rate is at 47.5% here.

Riverside-San Bernardino, California

Previously, Los Angeles had been known to be a thriving hub for Latinos. It also is home to at least five million Latinos. However, as per Forbes, it's no longer one of the best places for Latinos. The Riverside-San Bernardino counties, however, are better options, as it has lower home costs, resulting in a high home ownership rate at 55.3 percent. In L.A., it's just 37.7 percent. The Latinos in Inland Empire also earn $47,196 annually on average.

Jacksonville, Florida

This is on top of Forbes list for the fact that Latinos stand to earn about $50,171 annually here. About 54.9 percent of Latinos living in this city also own homes, and 17.1 percent are self-employed.
