Funny lady and "The Ellen Show" host Ellen Degeneres is switching things up a bit as she works on production of a new HGTV competition series called "Ellen's Design Challenge."

The show, expected to air sometime in 2015, will feature six competitors who must face the challenge of building extraordinary furniture within 24 hours.

Talk about pressure.

The winner of the six-episode design competition will be rewarded with a cash prize. Details of Ellen's appearance on the actual show and the actual amount of the cast prize have not yet been announced.

"I'm so excited about this show because I love finding really special pieces of furniture," DeGeneres said in a statement released by HGTV. "One time I found a beautiful one-of-a-kind armoire that spoke to me in a way I'd never experienced. It turned out there was a drifter living inside of it, but that's a story for another time."

Congrats, Ellen!

There's another person once linked to the 56-year-old comedian that is also in need of a congratulation.

Degeneres' ex-girlfriend and photographer Alexandra Hedison is reportedly married to Academy award-winning actress and producer Jodie Foster, according to E! News.

The two met last summer and hit it off immediately, which ultimately let to their recent marriage.

Before their marriage, Hedison and Foster were previously involved in other high profile relationships. Hedison dated Ellen for about three years before they broke up. Reports claim that the breakup was due to Degeneres' budding relationship with her now current girlfriend Portia de Rossi.

Foster on the other hand split with her partner Cydney Bernard after 20 years together. She has two children with Bernard named Charles and Kit.

We wish Alexandra and Jodie the best of luck on their marriage and good luck to Ellen on her new show. Looks like a win-win for everyone!
