"Better Call Saul" ended its first season by leaving the viewers on the edge of their seats. Fans were treated with a cliff hanger as Jimmy turned his back on a job offer, leaving them to question what he will be doing next.

By the time the first episode reached its finale, fans were puzzled at it was revealed that Jimmy could potentially turn to the dark side after he found out that Chuck [portrayed by Michael McKean] was slowly pulling him down as his brother would interfere with his progress in working with HHM law firm.

Despite feeling betrayed, Jimmy picked up the pieces and went to Cicero, Illinois to clear his mind. After making his way back, Jimmy and his friend Marco [portrayed by Mel Rodriguez] decided to go back into their old ways by scamming people.

As Jimmy slowly slipped into the dark side, an unfortunate event took place which resulted to Marco's passing. As per Entertainment Weekly, Marco's death pushed Jimmy to go back to Mexico and prove himself, but he decided to take a different route, which would eventually pave way for the second season's intro.

Charlie Collier, the AMC President released an official statement in relation to the series' second season through LA Times back in 2014. Collier mentioned that the cast Vince, Peter and Bob will be joining the rest of the staff in working on the season 2.

Collier's announcement stated, "We happily confirm that our initial 'Saul' order is for two seasons and a total of 23 episodes. When introducing any series, especially one with the DNA of 'Breaking Bad,' there are countless factors to consider in making sure the show gets the launch it deserves."

The series actor, Bob Odernkirk had a one on one interview with IGN wherein he was asked numerous questions regarding Jimmy's character for the upcoming season.

Odernkirk dished out about Jimmy's transformation by telling IGN that, "He began to express himself more in the real world. But I think in the case of Jimmy McGill, he is transforming. But it's happening in a realistic and, I must say, somewhat painful way.

Odernkirk was then asked as to whether he would like to see Saul's move forward, he then answered, "Absolutely. Oh yeah. That's my dream. To see this character in an even third or fourth iteration."

As per Den of the Geeks, "Better Call Saul" season 2 will make its way back into the television screens on February 15, 2016, 10 PM on AMC.
