WrestleMania 32 is being built up by the WWE as the biggest event in the history of wrestling with the chance to break attendance records at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas. But the problem is that the WWE main roster has been plagued by many injuries resulting to the company reaching to former talents that have made it big in Hollywood.

One of those names is Dave Bautista, also known as Batista, who is a former six-time WWE World champion. According to a report by Pro Wrestling Sheet, the 47-year-old was at the backstage in last Sunday's Royal Rumble pay-per-view to hear an offer from Vince McMahon to appear at WrestleMania 32.

However, he turned down the offer because McMahon was only offering a one-off appearance and would not wrestle. The report added that WWE left the door open to Batista just in case he changed his mind on possibly making an appearance at the biggest show of the year.

Many fans speculated days before the Royal Rumble that Batista may be one of the surprise entrants because of a picture he posted on Twitter looking buff and ready to fight. He wrote the words #Draxmode, simply implying that he is preparing for his role as "Drax the Destroyer" in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2."

According to Slash Film, movie director James Gunn revealed in a Periscope interview that "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to begin filming in February of this year in Atlanta at Pinewood Studios. The movie produced by Disney based on Marvel Comics characters is scheduled for release on May 5, 2017.

The filming schedule conflicts with the Road to WrestleMania, possibly writing out Batista's in-ring return. Inquisitr noted that it is still possible for Batista to just make an appearance at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas as it will help garner interest to the event.

His star power coupled with another movie star, The Rock, will help gain mainstream media attention. The Rock's recent appearance on Monday Night RAW showed what these wrestlers-turned-actors could contributed for the WWE.

Batista was last seen on the WWE television in June 2014 after a short feud with The Shield and made a surprise live event appearance for NXT. He has expressed his interest in coming back to the WWE, but only during untelevised live events, per Cageside Seats.

"I would go back, I love wrestling. I talked to Chris Jericho, who is a good friend of mine, recently and he does a lot of untelevised events and that's all he does. I think I may take that path and try to do untelevised events," Batista said.
