The Colorado Rockies have a glut of outfielders in their roster since signing Gerardo Parra to a three-year, $27.5 million deal earlier in January, per ESPN. Parra joins Carlos Gonzalez, Charlie Blackmon and Corey Dickerson in the Colorado outfield with one of them possibly being dealt in the coming days.

According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, the Rockies are expected to deal Dickerson than Gonzalez and Blackmon despite the latter two having more value. Rosenthal added that the Tampa Bay Rays are the prime candidate to land the 26-year-old outfielder.

The Rockies are looking for pitching help in the confines of Coors Field. The Tampa Bay Times noted that the Rays may offer starter Jake Odorizzi or reliever Jake McGee for Dickerson. It is also mentioned that if the Rays acquire Dickerson, he will likely end up platooning the outfield and the designated hitter role.

The Rays could also look to trade Desmond Jennings because Dickerson is more affordable. He is not eligible for arbitration until the 2017 season and won't hit free agency until 2020. MLB.com recently caught up with Dickerson and asked him about his thoughts on being involved in trade rumors.

"No one officially has contacted me. Family have asked me about it, but I'm just going about routines as I usually do and trying not to think about it too much," Dickerson said. The left-handed hitter was coming off an injury-plagued season, landing on the disable list twice with plantar fasciitis in his left foot and once for a broken rib.

"I got more questions about my foot than I have since I got hurt. The fans there appreciate how hard I work, so being there got me excited for the season. I'm a Rockie, and I know it takes a lot to make a trade happen. But either way, I look at it as I'm playing professional baseball, and I have to get ready," he added.

Dickerson was limited to just 65 games last season but hit an impressive .304 average with 10 home runs and 31 RBIs. He had his breakout season in 2014 when he played in 131 games, hitting .312 with 24 home runs and 76 RBIs, per Baseball Reference.

The Rockies could also trade Gonzalez and Blackmon for better prospects, with ESPN suggesting a trade with the St. Louis Cardinals. Colorado will move Gonzalez to St. Louis for 25-year-old hitter Stephen Piscotty and 23-year-old pitcher Marco Gonzalez.

D'Rays Bays noted that Tampa Bay has also been linked with the Chicago Cubs regarding a trade with hard-hitting second baseman Javier Baez.
