Singer and actress Becky G has begun her training to play the yellow ranger in the upcoming "Power Rangers" movie reboot.

On Feb. 1, the teen star shared videos on Instagram of herself working out in the gym and learning a few martial arts moves with an instructor.

"Up before the suns up. Training. Putting in the work. Now off to the gym we go," she captioned a video of herself practicing kicks.

Becky G also shared a photo of a yellow ranger cake given to her by her family. The picture came from the singer's birthday celebration, which took place with friends and family before she leaves to begin filming.

"Wassup from your yellow ranger and her yellow ranger cake. celebrating my birthday early with my family and closest friends since I'm moving away on my own for a new adventure and will most likely be spending it on my own!" she captioned the post.

The pop singer was announced as the yellow ranger in November 2015. At the time, she took to Instagram to share her excitement.

"Excited to be a part of this. My first movie and I get to be a freakin POWER RANGER. Thank you to the amazing team for welcoming me and also thanks @lionsgatemovies," she wrote.

The "Power Rangers" film is set to be directed by Dean Israelite ("Project Almanac"). Alongside Becky G, the film will star Naomi Scott ("Lemonade Mouth") as the pink ranger, Ludi Lin ("Marco Polo") as the black ranger, RJ Cyler ("Me and Earl and the Dying Girl") as the blue ranger, and newcomer Dacre Montgomery as the red ranger.

On Feb. 2, Lionsgate announced that Elizabeth Banks has also been cast in the film. She will be playing the villain, Rita Repulsa.
