One of the biggest fights that the UFC may offer next is of course that big one involving reigning UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm and former champion Ronda Rousey.

UFC president Dana White is obviously excited to see such a match, and the latest word on that could possibly be in November, as per Fox Sports. The only thing close to that is that it will happen in 2016, which Rousey promised herself.

"If Holly Holm should win, the Holly-Ronda Rousey rematch is going to be the biggest fight ever in UFC history -- if that rematch happens," White said on the Jalen and Jacoby Show.

However, before thinking that far, there is business to take care of. It all happens at UFC 196 this March when Holm makes her first title defense against an unpredictable Miesha Tate.

Tate is someone who cannot be taken lightly, and White knows it. A Tate victory can happen, and one can only wonder how this would imperil the alleged biggest fight in MMA history, as per White.

Pressure will be on Holm and not on Tate. She stands to lose a lot more than gain. In doing so, she may have to prepare for a wiser Tate who will likely resort to grapple and wrestling techniques to offset the uncanny boxing skills that Holm has.

It was Holm’s boxing that eventually led to the shocking knockout of Rousey back in November.

White admitted that Rousey’s downfall was of her own doing. Rather than use her judo skills, she took on Holm’s game plan of boxing.

With Tate, he expects the no. 1 contender to use a different approach.

“Miesha Tate will go for low singles, double legs. She's going to try and wrestle Holly Holm," White said in the same interview.

While that remains to be seen, White also mentioned how and why Holm is getting the credit she deserves.

Aside from defying the odds and dismantling Rousey who was once deemed unbeatable, her new UFC contract is another reason for her rise among the UFC stars.

"Believe me, she is receiving all the accolades and the financial rewards that go along with a huge accomplishment," added White.

A win by Holm could once again render her in the sidelines as she awaits the official return of Rousey. Right now, the former UFC women’s champion is busy with her Hollywood commitments, which were among the reasons why she asked for more time off.

Rousey is set to star in the film remake “Roadhouse” and “Mile 22” before refocusing her attention on the UFC, as per Fox Sports.
