News of Instagram launching multiple account support for its Android app surfaced late in 2015. Now, the same feature is apparently about to become available on iOS, as well. Not all users get to find the feature at present, although it is expected to completely roll out in the following weeks.

According to Latergram, many users are discovering the option in the Options menu view. Users can currently add multiple Instagram accounts to their app and conveniently switch between these without the need to log out.

To add multiple Instagram accounts on iOS, check first if you have access to the new feature by going to your Instagram profile page and clicking on “Settings.” Close to the bottom, you may find the option to “Add Account.”

Add an account accordingly, and you can easily switch between different Instagram accounts, thereby gaining access to separate messages, photo feeds, comments and more without logging out of the Instagram app on iOS. Your push notifications will instantly let you know which account is receiving comments, likes or updates. The new feature will help users save more time and effort in having to log in and out of each Instagram account.

9to5 Mac stated that the feature has long been requested by iOS and Instagram users. Previously, users struggled after third-party Instagram accounts were removed from the App Store for violating privacy policies. The new feature will most likely roll out gradually to more users over the following weeks.

The current version may still be in the testing phase. There may also be adjustments made after developers consider comments and suggestions from actual users. Should fixes and adjustments be made, new versions are also expected to roll out in the coming months.

As for the Android feature, Android Police reported that version 7.12.0 of the app can be acquired by enrolling in the official Play Store beta testing program of the app or from APK Mirror.

Some users may find an “Add Account” option at the bottom. Tap it and choose to sign in using another account or to create a new one. After choosing, you should see a selector beside the account nickname at the top of the profile page. Users can switch between accounts via the selector. In the settings, users can also log out of the new accounts altogether or individually.

More updates and details on the new multiple Instagram account support for iOS are expected soon.
