Michael Schumacher's health has not improved, says former Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo. According to BBC, Schumacher has been in constant intensive care after he was released in the hospital and now receives treatment in his home in Switzerland.

On Thursday, Montezemolo gave an update on Schumacher's condition saying, "I have news and unfortunately it is not good." The F1 champion suffered severe injuries following a skiing accident in December 2013. Since then, the 47-year-old car racer has not recovered and remains under careful supervision to sustain his life support.

According to The Guardian, the news about Schumacher came to light again after the former Ferrari boss issued a statement on Schumacher's declining condition. Speaking to some media members in Milan, he said, "Michael was a great driver, and we experienced a long time together in both our personal and professional lives. But life is really strange. He was the most successful driver of Ferrari and in his career he had only one accident, in 1999. But unfortunately a fall in a ski accident has broken him."

Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm previously denied reports that the racing champion has been on his feet with the help of his therapists and was able to move his hands at times. She said, "Unfortunately, we are forced by a recent press report to clarify that the assertion that Michael could move again is not true. Such speculation is irresponsible, because given the seriousness of his injuries, his privacy is very important for Michael. Unfortunately they also give false hopes to many involved people."

FIA President Jean Todt said that he often visits Shumacher and his condition has been on the fighting side. He also said that he's been a family friend and with the racer putting up a fight with his current condition, Todt encourages everyone to help him.

Before his injury in December 2013, Schumacher was enjoying a quiet holiday vacation with his family. Accompanied by his children Mick and Gina Maria and wife Corinna, their holiday was eventually marred by the accident that left Schumacher in coma for several months.

Since then, there hasn't been any positive news about his recovery despite a team of therapists looking after him. Schumacher currently holds seven world titles in the car racing world, and it was his stint in Ferrari that gained him worldwide recognition. Schumacher returned to F1 in 2010, but failed to retain his champion status.
