"Poker Face" singer Lady Gaga was totally different from her usual way of singing last Sunday when she performed the National Anthem during the Super Bowl, the Washington Post reports. Her performance, which gained split reviews, was recently praised at the Oscars Nominees Luncheon that prompted the singer to be in tears, E News reports.

The publication reveals that it was apparently a big deal for the singer and actress to be praised by renowned Oscar producers like David Hill and Reginald Hudlin when they took a moment to congratulate the "Bad Romance Singer" in her latest stint at the Super Bowl 50.

According to the news agency, it was the first time that Gaga was seen tearing up and can barely even compose herself because of how emotional she was of the quick speech by Hill and Hudlin at the annual Oscars Nominees Luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

The speech that made the singer break down in tears was from Hill when he said that the singer's version at the recent Super Bowl was "the best rendition I have ever heard, and, trust me, I've heard a lot," Hill said as quoted by the news outlet.

Hill, known to have also produced Super Bowls in the past, might have made a huge impact on the singer who recently revealed just how important it is for her to have performed the anthem especially when she meant every word, Extra reports.

"I just thought about the lyrics and what they really mean. They've been around a long time, so I thought about what they mean now, I just sang from my heart," Gaga said as quoted by the publication.

The singer further stressed how epic it was since it was for the greatest athletics in the world.

"It's kind of ancient history stuff, in the Greek and Roman history, performing for the greatest athletics in the world is the highest honor. I'm Italian and European, so for me it was such an honor as an American," Gaga told the news agency.

Meanwhile, the Washington Post reports that another interesting detail about Gaga's performance was the confusion that happened for people betting on the over-under of the national anthem.

It was apparently the length of Gaga's performance of whether it will be over 2:00 or under and since her last line, "the land of the brave," was repeated, the publication revealed that betting outlets may just be paying off both under and over bets, depending on their company's decisions.
