There is a saying that you should ‘never cross the boss’, and that obviously includes avoiding unnecessary physical contact.

Titus O'Neil made headlines after he was reportedly meted a suspension for allegedly grabbing WWE chairman Vince McMahon.

Initially, the headline made it look as if something untoward happened between O'Neil and McMahon. However, as it turned out, it was a simple case of being playful at the wrong time.

The whole incident happened towards the end of the retirement segment of Daniel Bryan. With the show coming to a close, the WWE chairman was seen exiting the ramp until someone grabbed his arm from behind in what seems to be a playful mood.

McMahon was apparently not in the mood for such and shoved O'Neil for the grab. Angered by the whole incident, the WWE chairman suspended O'Neil, and he now stands to miss Wrestlemania 32.

Right now, there is no official word on how long O'Neil would be suspended from WWE action.

PWInsider.com reports that the 38-year-old wrestler was suspended for more than 90 days while the NY Post claims that it would be for 60.

Either way and if the suspension sticks, he is one WWE star who won’t be around in Dallas. Though there is no official word, O'Neil would have likely been among the stars participating at the Andre The Giant Battle Royal.

To his credit, O'Neil has always portrayed a good guy persona. He is one half of the famed Prime Time Players, in which he is paired with Darren Young. Aside from that, he is also heavily involved in charity work and local community programs.

Fox Sports bares that O'Neil realized his mistake and was remorseful. In fact, he added that he would also understand if he would eventually be let go.

He also placed a post via his Instagram account when word of the whole issue came out in the open.

Initially, many mistook the suspension as something tied to racial discrimination. The WWE denied such and issued an explanation to address the claim.

“The suspension of Titus O’Neil had nothing to do with race and everything to do with unprofessional conduct,” the WWE said in a statement.

There were WWE personalities who got word of the whole incident. WWE legend Mick Foley tweeted his support to the troubled O'Neil while former WWE champion and Hollywood star Batista made a daring suggestion.
