Assuming that both Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin are able to make a fight happen by September this year, there is a big venue that is ready to host the big event.

Jerry Jones, a big boxing fan and the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, is ready to host the blockbuster clash if both sides are able to come up with a deal, as per TMZ.

Jones is prepared to help host and promote the clash at the AT&T Stadium where big events are held.

Aside from boxing, the AT&T Stadium hosted the recently concluded Super Bowl 50 and will be home this April to Wrestlemania 32. Why not include the much-awaited WBC title match involving two explosive fighters?

Right now, that seems to be moving a bit forward since the two protagonists need to settle voluntary fights in the coming months.

Golovkin will be the first to take the ring against Dominic Wade this April 23 at the Forum in Los Angeles via the LA Times. Triple G will be looking for his 22nd knockout win over an undefeated Wade, which makes this bout something to watch out for.

Roughly about two weeks after, it will be the WBC middleweight champion’s turn to take the ring over at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas against Briton Amir Khan via ESPN.

It will be an equally interesting fight to watch, though many feel that Alvarez holds a decisive advantage.

Khan will be moving up a weight (to 155 lbs), and such could affect his agility. Other than the weight disparity, there is the question of his punching power and chin, which were singled out as questionable and the reason why the southpaw was eked out as a possible opponent for Manny Pacquiao’s farewell fight this April.

Assuming Golovkin and Alvarez are able to overcome their respective foes, contract negotiations could be rough.

To date, Alvarez and his camp have stood on their earlier stance of wanting the fight to be at the 155 lbs catchweight.

The WBC is unlikely to recognize the stipulation while the Kazakh knockout artist made it clear that he wants the fight to happen at the full weight of 160 lbs.

The worst that could happen is seeing Golovkin winning the belt by default. This means that no fight would take place, which will disappoint a lot of fans, led no less by boxing fanatic Jerry Jones.
