Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy has reportedly ditched her job at a London law firm to pursue a career as a jeweler. As a matter of fact, the 30-year-old Zimbabwean blonde, who dated the royal prince for almost seven years, will launch her own jewelry line this year.

In 2014, Davy left her career at the top law firm Allen & Overy to finally pursue her passion in jewelry-making. And this year, she is set to launch her ethnically-sourced jewelry line called, Aya Africa. According to Daily Mail, the jewelries are made from African emeralds.

"Chelsy has been really committed to this," a friend told the publication. "She spent a long time in Zambia learning about the mining process and the history of the emeralds."

Davy's friend also added that the former ladylove of royal bachelor Prince Harry is very excited to launch her very own jewelry empire. And what's really great about Davy's business is the fact that most of the profits will go to charities.

"She's really excited to launch it because it means a lot to her," her pal added. "She's been working with schools and local communities in South Africa, as a lot of the money she makes from sales will go there."

Davy's Aya Africa will begin selling their collection later this year at the chic boutique Baar & Baas in Chelsea, London.

"The jewelry is absolutely stunning," a Baar & Bass spokesman told People. "We are very excited to be working with Chelsy."

Chelsy Davy was Prince Harry's first serious long-term girlfriend. The ex-couple met in 2004 and has been in an on-and-off relationship for seven years. Despite their breakup, the two remained amicable.

While Davy has been in the legal world since she graduated from Leeds University in England, she gave up her career two years ago to start her dream project and has been hands-on ever since.

Speaking of Prince Harry, his Invictus Games has recently announced its first celebrity ambassador. In a separate report from People, Welsh singer and "Dancing with the Stars" alum Katherine Jenkins has been named as the organization's official ambassador.

"Supporting the men, women and families who serve our country has always been important in my life," Jenkins said in a statement. "I look forward to celebrating and honoring the sacrifices of veteran and active duty service members and their families from around the world in May."

The Invictus Games was launched by 31-year-old Prince Harry, who had been a British Army veteran, in 2014. This year, the games will be in Orlando, where a series of events will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on May 8 to 12.
