In spite of the controversies that plagued their family, the Duggars have continued to make the online world interesting as various updates about them emerged.

Recently, avid fans and followers of the "19 Kids and Counting" stars were getting excited after reports claimed that the popular TLC show will have a reboot. According to an insider close to the family, eldest Duggar daughter Jana will take a much larger role in the reboot.

"The premiere of the upcoming season will show [Jana] opening up about her sentiments on being single," a production insider said.

1. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's surprise Central America visit

After being in a mission trip in Central America for more than six months, Jill and Derick Dillard as well as their son Israel have recently received some very special visitors. According to People, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar traveled to El Salvador to visit their daughter Jill and her family.

"It was great to have them with us and get to show them the work the Lord is doing here," Derick wrote on Thursday. "Israel definitely enjoyed all the attention when Grandma and Grandpa Duggar came to visit."

2. Jill Dillard pregnant?

Speculations about Jill Duggar-Dillard's second pregnancy have recently suffused the online world. In fact, the rumors started after Jill shared a snap of her husband Derick painting her toenails on Instagram, Design & Trend noted.

According to diehard Duggars fans, Jill posted a similar photo on Instagram before she revealed she was pregnant with their first child, Israel David Dillard. Unfortunately, if the fans have guessed Jill's second pregnancy right, her current Central American mission might pose a threat to their baby because of the mosquito-borne Zika virus.

Due to the virus, which has been linked with microcephaly in newborns, El Salvador has issued a two-year pregnancy ban.

3. No "19 Kids and Counting" reboot?

It has been widely reported that the Duggars' reality show on TLC will be having a reboot. However, the family denied the speculations through a written statement on the Duggar Family Blog, stating nothing has been confirmed yet.

"Fans are eager to see this super-sized clan reclaim its place in the TLC lineup," the statement read, Inquisitr quoted. "[As] of right now, there has been no official, public word from either TLC or the Duggar family regarding the possibility of a new show."

4. Duggar family paid porn star Danica Dillon to drop her case against Josh?

Aside from the reboot, the family also cleared the issues regarding Danica Dillon and the reported payoff from the Duggars or the TLC network to dump her assault case against Josh.

"[Dillon] will bear her own costs and fees in this matter and that no one has or will pay her any money to resolve this matter," the statement read.

5. Jill Dillard and family living in S.O.S. Ministries Housing?

Jill Dillard has revealed that her family is living in S.O.S. Ministries Housing while they embark on their roles as full-time missionaries with the non-profit organization. However, her revelation stirred some confusion since the Dillards set up their own non-profit organization before leaving for their Central America mission.
