Deadline Hollywood had a major scoop earlier today. "Better Call Saul" has just cast its first non-"Breaking Bad" alum. Comedian Michael McKean is set to co-star in the show and take on the role of a zany lawyer named Dr. Thurber. Previously announced actors included Bob Odenkirk (Saul Goodman), Dean Norris (Hank Schrader), Jonathan Banks (Mike Ehrmantraut) and Aaron Paul (Jesse Pinkman) locked up. But as Vince Gilligan, dear creator of all things "Bad," said, "The sky's the limit, at least theoretically speaking," when it comes to guest apperances!

If you haven't seen both parts of season five than you're in for a treat. All of the aforementioned characters undergo a lot of significant changes and it will be a joy to get to watch them again. After all, "Better Call Saul" is a prequel. Alas, it's unlikely Bryan Cranston and his menacing, genius, three-time Emmy Award Winning character Heisenberg shows up. He's still playing his self-pitying, goody two-shoes school teacher role... Just kidding. He'll be making a cameo or two!

But before we diverge into how awesome everyone Bryan Cranston touches is, let's talked about the newest member of the "Saul" cast some more. So just who is Michael McKean? Well, to put it lightly he's an accomplished performer and renowned funny man. His previous screen credits include cult-class rock comedy "This is Spinal Tap" and "Laverne & Shirley" according to CNN. You can check out his full credits list on IMDB.

Other than that more information about McKean's Dr. Thurber character is not yet known. But, McKean's supposed onscreen persona is sure to gel nicely with Bob Odenkirk's deadpan humor.

Are you anxious to watch "Better Call Saul?" Well, be prepared to wait a little bit longer. The comedy doesn't drop until November 2014. AMC, making your die-hard fans wait this long for the "Breaking Bad" universe to return is dead wrong. But what can ya do... there's always the option of binge watching every episode of BB on Netflix before the big fall premiere!
