The 2016 Oscar Award nominees in five categories will be getting the annual Oscar Swag Bag, which contains a variety of items and gifts valued at least $220,000. This year, the special bag is said to contain sex toys, among other things.

The Contents of the Swag Bag

The 2016 Celebrity Swag Bag will particularly include Fiera, a special vibrator. The product, Fiera “Arouser for Her,” was developed by sexual health and wellness company Nuelle, Inc. It is the first wearable intimacy booster that functions to enhance arousal before sexual activity. Fiera is supposed to help put women in the mood for sex and improve intimacy between couples.

The gifts inside the bag include the Nuelle Fiera “Arouser for Her,” plastic surgery treatments, body and skin products, free stays at luxury hotels in Italy, a trip to Israel, Audi A4 car rentals, free training sessions with Jay Cardiello, among others.

Los Angeles-based Distinctive Assets came up with the bags, which nominees are bound to receive at the big event on Feb. 28, 2016. Nominees for Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Director will allegedly get the bags soon.

"To be part of the film industry's biggest night on any level is thrilling. We always look forward to introducing standout entertainers to an array of companies with fabulous gifts to share,” said Lash Fary, founder of Distinctive Assets.

The Academy Filed a Suit

The people at Nuelle initially intended to add the sex toy inside the Oscar Swag Bag, but the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences refused. The Academy recently sued Distinctive Assets, stating that the bags created by the Los Angeles-based company are not the official Swag Bags to be provided at the Oscars. The Academy alleged trademark infringement and perpetuating a link between the company and the Oscars in its suit, adding that the creation of the unofficial bags is damaging to its reputation.

The lawsuit stated that the continued use of the trademarks of the Academy by Distinctive Assets tarnishes the company’s goodwill and dilutes the distinctiveness of the organization’s famous trademarks. The Academy further complained about the “less-than-wholesome” nature of some of the contents of the unofficial Swag Bag and the “unseemliness” of handing such valuable presents to an elite list of celebrities.
