The upcoming movie sequel of demonic doll Chucky, who started his first kill in 1988, is reportedly making a bloody comeback in "Chucky 7." Twitterverse recently got more interesting when "Child's Play" filmmaker Don Mancini teased fans that the filming of the upcoming movie sequel is already underway.

The "Child's Play" movie franchise boasts one of the creepiest horror movie storylines, which made Chucky the notorious killer doll so famous. And now, he is expected to make a much bigger impact in "Chucky 7." According to Mancini, who has written all the six movies in the "Child's Play" series and directed the last two films, Chucky will be "back soon," teasing they may film in South Africa.

"SO @Jtillathekilla2 SHOULD WE SHOOT CHUCKY 7 IN CAPETOWN?" Mancini tweeted, before adding another, which said, "HE'S BA-AAAAAACK (SOON) #Chucky7."

The latest "Chucky 7" tweet was not the first time Mancini teased "Child's Play" fans. Mancini had initially tweeted about its sequel last September.

"ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT #CHUCKY7 #ComingSoonish (Art by @mattryantobin)," Mancini posted on Twitter.

"Chucky 7" Plot

The sequel to the horror movie franchise is currently dubbed as "Chucky 7." The film will follow the events of the film's sixth installment, "Curse of Chucky," in 2013. Its plot also hinted the comeback of Chucky's ex-wife Tiffany's in the upcoming sequel.

"Chucky returns after the events of Curse of Chucky to continue terrorizing his wheelchair-prone human daughter, Nica," the film's plot reads. "Meanwhile, the killer doll has some scores to settle with his old enemies, with the help of his former wife."

"Chucky 7" Cast

As for "Chucky 7" cast, rumors have it that Fiona Dolurif (Nica Pierce), Summer Howell (Alice), Jennifer Tilly (Tiffany) and, of course, Brad Dourif (Chucky) are reportedly coming back for the sequel. Danielle Bisutti (Barbara Pierce), Brennan Elliott (Ian), Chantal Quesnelle (Sarah), A Martinez (Father Frank) and Maitland McConnell (Jill) are also reportedly joining the cast.

What to Expect in "Chucky 7?"

Aside from Tiffany's return, Mancini revealed the possibility of delving deeper into the story of Chucky's children, twins Glen and Glenda, in the upcoming sequel. While both have been just minor characters, he admitted that he wanted to do something "surprising" to them.

"I wanted to do something surprising with it because I thought, people wouldn't expect the offspring of Chucky to be this pacifist, sweet-natured schizophrenic," he said. "Maybe the schizophrenic part. But, anyway, I do have ideas for those character and I do think about them a lot."

No Dolls in "Chucky 7?"

Mancini also said that Chucky movie fans don't want to see a "Child's Play" sequel where there are no dolls involved. Thus, he revealed about his plans on making some human versions of the movie characters.

"I picture Glen and Glenda, the human versions of those characters," he added. "Now they'd be in high school. And you know, Glen is taking his boyfriend to the prom and Glenda is poisoning the punch. But their mom, Tiffany, is secretly stitching Chucky back together to wreak havoc on their lives and teach them lessons the way that fathers are always going to have to do to teenagers. Doesn't that sound great?"

"Chucky 7" is reportedly haunting cinemas in 2017. But will the upcoming sequel reclaim the "Evil Doll Box Office" title from "The Boy?"
