Francis emerges victorious in battle and Lola discovered a secret about her husband on the latest episode of "Reign."

In "Higher Ground," Francis (Tony Regbo) tries to secure Calais by battling the English. Leith ends up saving Francis' life, so Francis decides to return the favor by promising him land so he can earn a title and be with Greer (Celina Sinden).

In the end, France wins the battle, and Francis returns to the castle victorious.

Back at the castle, Mary (Adelaide Kane) gets word that her mother is under attack and needs money to flee Scotland. Her mother reaches out to Catherine (Megan Follows) for help, but she refuses.

Mary hires a mercenary to steal Catherine's private stash and bring it to her mother. The mercenary kidnaps Catherine, and she offers him double what Mary is paying him if he can bring her the person responsible for her kidnapping.

Instead, he tells Mary to find someone else to pin the kidnapping on. Catherine's cousin happens to be in town, so they cut off her cousin's head and deliver it to Catherine before delivering Catherine's money to Mary.

Meanwhile, Lola (Anna Popplewell), Julien (Giacomo Gianniotti), Bash (Torrance Coombs) and Kenna (Caitlin Stasey) play soccer together until Lola starts getting cramps.

While Lola is resting up, she finds out that the banker transferred her dowry to Julien. Bash looks into it and finds that Julien has a hunting trip planned for that night, although he curiously has not ordered any hunting accoutrements.

Lola tries to stop Julien from leaving, and as he's about to go, he admits to her that he's had a falling out with his family and doesn't have any money. He says that he originally married her to leave her and live off her money, but he's since fallen in love with her.

"All I have to offer you is me," he tells her.

On the next episode, "Long Live the King," "Mary teams up with Catherine to deal with Henry, whose deranged behavior puts Francis at risk. Elsewhere, Bash resolves to destroy the Darkness after meeting a boy who survived the horror; and a devoted Lola tries to protect Julien."
