Next month is quickly on its way, and with it E3, and PlayStation Plus members are already starting the rumor (or request) mill about what might be coming in the free games list for June 2016. Here are the most speculated-about titles.

Watch Dogs Rumored Again

Once again, Watch Dogs tops the list of games that PS Plus subscribers are buzzing about for the next free games list. So far, buzzing about Watch Dogs has not translated into PlayStation actually releasing the game on PS Plus for free, but that doesn't stop the speculation, of course.

Adding to the momentum are reports of Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot sharing more details about Watch Dogs 2 in the company's latest earnings call. GameSpot reported that Watch Dogs 2 is now confirmed to be in development, and though few details are known about the sequel, Guillemot said it would have "innovative" gameplay and a "new tone."

Ubisoft releasing Watch Dogs for free would gin up interest in the sequel, but with that title so far away, it doesn't make much sense to release it next month.

Resident Evil

Another AAA title topping the buzz list is Resident Evil: HD Remaster, which would be a great way to reintroduce a rejuvenated classic to help Capcom build hype for an expected preview of a new Resident Evil title at E3 next month, or the upcoming release of the remastered Resident Evil 2.

The Evil Within

Both of those titles topped ThisGenGaming's list of five most-wanted PS Plus free games for June 2016, but the bottom of that list, The Evil Within, seems like a good possibility.

Yes, it's a relatively new title, not a remaster, and PlayStation rarely releases the intersection of those two for free on PS Plus.

However, there are rumors of a sequel to this amazing horror game being announced at E3, so there's at least a possibility of another hype-generating move by PS Plus. You wouldn't expect two AAA horror games being released at the same time though, so it's either this or Resident Evil. Or neither.
